Hello guys ! How are you doing these days ?
Today’s story is about a lovely man that language barrier kept us apart.
This lawyer man is a 35 years old. I met him on Sunday 14th August night… I started to chat with him on Tinder probably 2 weeks before my travel to Seoul.
We would talk a lot … He was a funny, attractive and respectful guy.
This night of 14th of August, he asked me if I wanted to meet him – it was past midnight. Of course, I said yes … I just told him that I was about to sleep so I was kind of in PJs – X-Large t-shirt and shorts… He said that he didn’t care at all… I told him that I didn’t want to stay up too long because next day in the morning I had an appointment and I had to come back at 2 or 3 am … (If I only knew … ahhhh but that’s another story) When he was downstairs, I put on my Vans and went to meet him …
GUYSSSSS my god !!!! He was absolutely sweet ! Polo shirt, pants and little summer shoes (no sneakers at all !). I am a Mediterranean woman so obviously I asked him if I could hug him to say “hi”, he agreed.
He asked me the permission to smoke … I was surprised by this, and thought it was cute !
He proposed if I wanted to drink something… I said that I already brushed my teeth and was ok… I should’ve at least accept a bottle of water or something … But at that time I didn’t know ^^
Then, we took his car, and he drove me around my area… Until we came to a location ! Amazing location, where we could see the city. Many couples there, eating ramyeon …. I’ve made a lot of jokes about that and quickly felt stupid right after ! hahahaha
He said I was pretty even in my kind of “PJs” …
He didn’t do anything to me… Only stayed next to me. We used Papago translator a lot… He couldn’t stop apologising about him that couldn’t speak well English… I just replied to that, that I was the one that has to apologise for not speaking well Korean… We laughed about that…
When it was 2:15 am he said that we should go back to my place so I can rest for the next day.
He wished me a good night and waited for me to come into the building to take off.
We still continued to chat (a bit more than usual?) and he asked me if I wanted to meet him for lunch …
Guys, this guy worked sometimes 7 days a week until really really late !
The day of the lunch date had come …. I did all my best to look PRETTY !!! Hahahahahahaha
He was waiting for me at the subway station, and the first thing he said was “You are so pretty” in Korean… I blushed …
We went to that restaurant, had a great lunch, and we started to talk about his job … It was so nice, he was sooooo … Ahhhhh my god !!! Hahaha
We had a drink after that, I insisted to pay the drink (because he invited me for lunch). Unfortunately he couldn’t stay long… He even showed me on the map, the things I can do around there. So sweet of him.
At the end… I felt that the language barrier was too heavy at least for him…. We still chatted a lot after that but lesser when I came back to my country.
To be honest guys, I still want to have contact with him … But I don’t want to pressure him. We’ll see ! I’ll go back to Korea soon !
I will let you know about that !
What do you think about language barrier ? Do you think it’s a red flag ?? Let me know in the comments !
Take care guys !
